rubydoc.info down
Hi,
Both http://rubydoc.info/ and http://www.rubydoc.info/ return page with only "It works!".
Other pages (http://rubydoc.info/github/jarib/watir-webdriver/master/frames for example) return "Not Found The requested URL /github/jarib/watir-webdriver/master/frames was not found on this server."

Seems to resolve okay from here. Sounds like your dns is perhaps caching the temp server address? (ttl should have expired quite some time ago)
Can you tell us what ip the name is resolving to (dig rubydoc.info) and also try flushing your local dns cache? Thanks.

Not sure if you asked for this:

I am on Mac, so I have tried this to flush local DNS cache:
dscacheutil -flushcache
but it did not help. I have tried from my iPhone (while connected to 3G network) and got the same error page.

Tried it again from iPhone (on 3G) and got normal rubydoc.info site.

Tried it also from a machine located in Switzerland, and there is also works fine.

Can you tell us what ip the name is resolving to?
Also, please do a dig against the authoritative servers (whois should show that to be ns*.linode.com) dig @ns1.linode.com rubydoc.info should yield 97.107.136.245
If that's working but your local DNS cache is still failing, it sounds like there's a problem on your (client) end.

I am not sure what are you saying I should do. (I am not DNS ninja.)
If you let me know what commands to run in terminal, I can send you the output.
If I understood you:
$ ping rubydoc.info PING rubydoc.info (97.107.136.245): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 97.107.136.245: icmp_seq=0 ttl=51 time=297.102 ms

Can you suggest how to fix the problem?
I get the normal site when I visit http://97.107.136.245/, but http://rubydoc.info/ still says only "It works!".

Please see the above message... And let us know. If the issue is on your end and clearing your local cache isn't working perhaps it's a local caching server you're using. You'll want to use dig / nslookup to track that down (who is answering those requests incorrectly?)
Not much else we can do here though...

I have changed my DNS servers (planned to do it anyway), and now it works just fine.

Glad to hear that!
